Join us at a one of our monthly meetings to learn more about beekeeping in Northern Nevada. Members include hobbyists, commercial beekeepers and those just beginning to learn about these fascinating creatures.

Our Mission

The Northern Nevada Beekeepers Association is a unincorporated non-profit association, whose purpose is to promote the art and science of beekeeping among hobby beekeepers and educate the public about the importance of the honeybee and native pollinators. Most of our members are backyard beekeepers who enjoy harvesting their backyard gold. Our emphasis is on education and promotion of healthy bees for the backyard beekeeper.

He is not worthy of the honey-comb,
That shuns the hives because the bees have stings.
— William Shakespeare
